Better Off (let it snow)
03:15
|
|||
There were 53 of you.
One for each thing I hate in myself.
One for each part of myself that I do not like.
I had all of the control.
I had all of the control,
but I did what I was asked to do anyway.
I did what I was asked to do anyway.
Were you really better off this way?
Were you really better off this way?
Were you really better off this way?
Were you really better off?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Let it snow.
I don't know.
Can we just go?
Can we just go please?
Can we just go?

Poisonous Tube
02:00
|

Place a worm on my tongue and watch it
bury itself in my flesh.
Maybe I'll start telling the truth -
dirt and mud pouring out of me.
If I ever kissed you all you would taste would be dirt.
Be the bird that stirs early and rids me
of this thing.
This poisonous tube that forces me to be
honest.
If I ever kissed you -

Moth Mask
03:59
|
|||
I wake up in the morning.
I want the day to be over.
I see your face in the sky
and on the wing of the plover.
I haven't been this upset
since last October
when I found out that you were gone.
The last of the moths
(the ones that weren't crushed)
have found a quiet place to die.
And you wear them like a mask,
a delicate layer between the two of us.
And now you're underwater
and slowly the mask lifts -
rises to the surface.
And I pick the pieces out of the tub.
And I eat every single one.

Razorbacks

Put it on my head.
Spin it around, muss up my hair.
You and I are going places.
I can feel it.
You and I are going places someday soon.
But first, I -
But first, I must leave.
And if you turn to me
and give me shivers with a dirty stare,
or if you turn from me
with waves of frustration breaking along the rocks -
either way, I will smile.
Either way I will smile.
Neck deep in the mud I will smile.
